Valeria Varbanova, aged 24, was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and studied at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov”.
Her debut performance took place in Milko Lazarov’s recent film Tarika. She is set to appear in her first feature film in a leading role, My Father's Shoes, directed by Bulgarian filmmaker Hristo Simeonov, which is soon to be released.
Valeria is Talents Sarajevo Allumni from Acting Studio 2024 in the programme of Sarajevo Film Festival.
Valeria has worked on several short and feature films and participated in over ten theatre plays. Currently, she is taking part in Apocryphal directed by Ivan Dobchev at the Sfumato Theatre Laboratory.
In 2023, Valeria earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, completing four years of acting training under professor Ivan Dobchev's guidance. Before that, she spent over five years taking various acting classes. Additionally, Valeria graduated from the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” where she developed her skills as a professional folklore singer.
