Nathan is American and was born in Boulder, Colorado, where he earned a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Colorado in 2007. In 2008 he was a founding member, actor, director, and Artistic Director of Single Carrot Theatre. In 2013, he moved to Sofia, Bulgaria where he currently lives.

He also has EU citizenship with an EU passport.
